Finishing Options for 5x2 Banners
- Print only: edges trimmed to size, no grommets. Good for mounting flat on a board or frame.
- Grommets only: grommets along the edges for hanging with ties, hooks, or bungee cords.
- Hemmed edges plus grommets: edges folded over and reinforced, with grommets for hanging. The sturdiest choice for outdoor use.
Optional on any size: pole pockets (sleeves for a pole or rod) and wind slits (small cuts that let wind pass through on fences and outdoor walls; single-sided banners only).
5x2 Banner FAQ
How big is a 5x2 banner?
A 5x2 banner is 5 ft high and 2 ft wide: 60 × 24 in (152.4 × 61.0 cm), or 10 sq ft. It’s a vertical banner.
Is a 5x2 banner the same as a 2x5 banner?
No. We list sizes as height × width, so a 5x2 banner is vertical (5 ft high, 2 ft wide) and a 2x5 banner is horizontal (2 ft high, 5 ft wide). Some printers list width first, so check the orientation before you order.
How far away can you read a 5x2 banner?
With headline letters about 6 in tall, a 5x2 banner can be read from about 60 ft. Phone numbers and web addresses about 2 in tall can be read from about 20 ft. This uses the sign-industry rule of thumb of 1 inch of letter height per 10 ft of distance.
How should I set up my 5x2 banner file?
Set it up in the same shape as the banner: 24 in wide by 60 in high, or a smaller version with the same proportions. For resolution, file types, and how large to design, see our custom banner artwork specifications. Designing online instead? See how to design a banner online.
How much does a 5x2 banner cost?
Single-sided 5x2 banners start at $18.95. The final price depends on the order option and finishing you choose, and whether it’s double-sided. The price table on this page always shows current prices.
How fast can I get a 5x2 banner?
Turnaround depends on our current workload, so the order cutoff can change. Our current policy: Standard Shipping Policy: Most Complete Ready-to-Print orders with up to 2 banners received by 3 pm EST / 12 noon PST (Mon-Fri, excluding holidays) will be shipped by the end of the Next Business day. Orders with 3 banners or more require additional days to ship. Requesting a design proof may delay your order.
Can a 5x2 banner be double-sided?
Yes. Double-sided printing is available on sizes up to 3x10, including 5x2.
