Table Banners
A table banner hangs across the front of the table, so choose one that’s about as wide as the table and no taller than about 2 ft, so it doesn’t drag on the ground. A 2x4 fits a 4-ft table, a 2x6 fits a 6-ft table, and a 2x8 fits an 8-ft table.
Hang it with grommets and table clips or zip ties. See small banners.
Canopy Tent Banners
Most 10x10 pop-up canopies are 10 ft wide and about 7 ft high to the top of the frame. A 7x10 fills a back or side wall; a 2x10 or 3x10 works as a header across the front.
Use grommets and zip ties or bungee cords on the frame. See how to hang a vinyl banner.
Trade Show Booth Banners
Standard booths are 10 ft or 20 ft wide, and the back wall is often about 8 ft high. An 8x10 fills a 10-ft booth’s back wall; an 8x20 fills a 20-ft booth. Check your show’s rules for maximum height.
For a backdrop on a stand, add pole pockets on the top and bottom.
Garage Door Banners
Single garage doors are usually about 8–9 ft wide and 7 ft high; double doors are about 16 ft wide. A 3x6 or 4x8 fits most single doors, and a 3x12 or 4x12 fits most double doors.
Popular for graduations, birthdays, and welcome-home banners. See graduation banners.
Chain-Link Fence Banners
Choose a banner shorter than the fence so it hangs flat: a 3x8 or 3x10 on a 4-ft fence, and a 4x8, 4x10, or 5x10 on a 6-ft fence.
Add hemming, grommets, and wind slits, and zip-tie every grommet. See stadium and fence banners.
Entrance Banners
A standard door is about 3 ft wide and 7 ft high. A pair of vertical 6x2 or 6x3 banners on each side frames an entrance for events, grand openings, and welcome signs.
See vertical banners for how to order vertical sizes.
Photo Backdrop Banners
An 8x8 fits a few people in a photo; an 8x10 fits larger groups. Both are tall enough to fill the frame behind standing adults.
See backdrop banners for stands, pole pockets, and design ideas.
