Finishing Options for 9x6 Banners
- Print only: edges trimmed to size, no grommets. Good for mounting flat on a board or frame.
- Hemming only: edges folded over and reinforced, with no grommets. For hanging with clips, a frame, or pole pockets.
- Hemmed edges plus grommets: reinforced edges with grommets for hanging. The sturdiest choice for outdoor use.
Optional on any size: pole pockets (sleeves for a pole or rod) and wind slits (small cuts that let wind pass through on fences and outdoor walls; single-sided banners only).
9x6 Banner FAQ
How big is a 9x6 banner?
A 9x6 banner is 9 ft high and 6 ft wide: 108 × 72 in (274.3 × 182.9 cm), or 54 sq ft. It’s a vertical banner.
Is a 9x6 banner the same as a 6x9 banner?
No. We list sizes as height × width, so a 9x6 banner is vertical (9 ft high, 6 ft wide) and a 6x9 banner is horizontal (6 ft high, 9 ft wide). Some printers list width first, so check the orientation before you order.
How far away can you read a 9x6 banner?
With headline letters about 18 in tall, a 9x6 banner can be read from about 180 ft. Phone numbers and web addresses about 6 in tall can be read from about 60 ft. This uses the sign-industry rule of thumb of 1 inch of letter height per 10 ft of distance.
How should I set up my 9x6 banner file?
Set it up in the same shape as the banner: 72 in wide by 108 in high, or a smaller version with the same proportions. For resolution, file types, and how large to design, see our custom banner artwork specifications. Designing online instead? See how to design a banner online.
How much does a 9x6 banner cost?
9x6 banners start at $91.26. The final price depends on the order option and finishing you choose. The price table on this page always shows current prices.
How fast can I get a 9x6 banner?
Turnaround depends on our current workload, so the order cutoff can change. Our current policy: Standard Shipping Policy: Most Complete Ready-to-Print orders with up to 2 banners received by 3 pm EST / 12 noon PST (Mon-Fri, excluding holidays) will be shipped by the end of the Next Business day. Orders with 3 banners or more require additional days to ship. Requesting a design proof may delay your order.
Can a 9x6 banner be double-sided?
No. Double-sided printing is available on sizes up to 3x10, so a 9x6 banner is printed on one side.
